Fairfax Investment Management partners with Third Financial
Fairfax Investment Management selects tercero for new Wealth venture.
London, 7th May 2009 – Third Financial Software, a technology company focussed on delivering proactive software solutions to the wealth management and capital management markets, today announced that independent investment manager, Fairfax Investment Management, has selected its integrated investment management platform, Tercero. The Tercero suite, which comprises solutions for portfolio management, client relationship management, client reporting, document management and internet access for investors. Tercero will be deployed at Fairfax Investment Managements offices in Berkeley Square in London. Completely scalable, the cost-effective platform will aid Fairfax’s growth plans through significantly improved operational processes and extended client services.
Following Fairfax’s decision to enter in to the Wealth Management sector it was critical to ensure the correct technical and operational infrastructure was decided upon to guarantee the correct levels of client servicing. In particular an efficient and comprehensive reporting solution as well as an investment management platform linked to its existing custodian Pershing. Fairfax needed a system that would deliver tailored and structured reports, comprising valuations, performance analysis, transaction statements and investment commentaries. It also needed to provide an Investor web portal to provide on-line access to client investment and report information. Following an extensive review of available offerings, Fairfax selected Third Financial Software due to the strength of its team and the market leading capabilities of the Tercero platform.

The tercero Client Relationship Management (CRM) solution will build a complete Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) profile for all clients at Fairfax – helping Fairfax to provide the necessary compliance and professional both retain and win business. This data will in turn be used for more effective and frequent client reporting. The Tercero Investor Portal will allow Fairfax to provide on-demand information to clients through online valuations and electronic access to reports. Additionally, the model-based Tercero Investment Management System (IMS) will enable the Fairfax investment team to automatically manage individuals and groups of clients portfolios against models and mandates to ensure the clients remain in line with their unique compliance requirements.
