Third Financial today announced that it has appointed RSM UK as its auditor for the financial statement audits and the CASS audits.
RSM was successful after a rigorous external audit tender process where four of the UK’s top seven audit firms were invited to pitch for the work and assessed against numerous criteria.
The most important factor was to find an auditor with a strong CASS presence. Additional pre-requisites were reputation of the firm and ability to support the Group with wider issues, other than just the financial audit, such as tax and regulatory matters.
Commenting on the appointment, Mike Scott, CFO, said: “RSM were chosen as they best met all of our requirements and demonstrated that they valued our business. Our Board was particularly impressed with the strong credentials of the audit partner, David Fenton, who has an extensive background in CASS audits.”
